The new MonoFireTM XL polyester monofilament tennis string from Ashaway Racket Strings combines maximum durability with enhanced playability, all at an economical price. Designed with greater elasticity than Ashaway's original MonoFire string, MonoFire XL provides increased resilience for improved overall string performance. For added value, MonoFire XL is now available in a 1000 ft (300 M) length -- over 50% longer than the familiar 660 ft (200 M) reel - for just 25% additional cost.

Like the original - a popular choice in the Ashaway line - MonoFire XL takes the traditional benefits of monofilament strings and improves upon them with added durability and firmness. MonoFire XL resists breakage at the hands of power players better than standard nylon strings, and its superior firmness also enhances control shots.

A polyester monofilament string that stands up to tough play, MonoFire XL features better tension holding properties than the original, for a more consistent stringing job. The string's proprietary coating serves two functions, lending more durability to the material and making it easier to string.

MonoFire XL is manufactured in Germany to Ashaway's exacting specifications. It is available in 17 (1.25 mm) and 16 (1.30 mm) gauges, and can be strung at up to 70 lbs. (32 kgs) of tension. MonoFire XL is available in both 660 ft (200 M) and 1000 ft (300 M) reels, and comes in a classic gold color.
